ABOUT
Juliya Obukhovskaya is a Ukrainian-born American artist based in Madrid.Working with broken mirror, acrylic, reclaimed architectural elements, and found objects, she reconstructs fragmented materials into works that shift with light, reflection, and the viewer's movement, revealing new relationships between object, architecture, and perception.Her practice began with investigations of geometry and visual order before evolving toward architecture and spatial experience. Drawing on overlooked elements of the built environment—from ironwork and street drains to historic window grilles—she transforms familiar forms into reflective compositions that continually change through the viewer's presence.
